January 2025 Updates

Here is a summary of what changed across Short.io in January 2025.

Features​

  • AI statistics assistant — A new AI-powered assistant can now answer questions about your link and domain statistics. Start a conversation, ask about clicks, top referrers, or geographic breakdowns, and get streaming responses with real data. Available on the Pro plan.
  • Campaign templates — You can now create, edit, delete, and list campaign templates, making it easier to reuse UTM parameter configurations across multiple links. Learn more
  • Brazil region targeting — Geo-targeting now supports Brazilian states, allowing you to redirect visitors based on their region within Brazil. Learn more
  • Social network links on domain main page — Domain main page templates now support Threads, Mastodon, Bluesky, and email fields, giving you more ways to connect visitors to your social profiles. Learn more
  • Spreadsheet import status indicator — When creating or editing links via spreadsheet import, a new status indicator and tooltip show the progress of the operation in real time.
  • Transparent tracker URL display — The tracker URL is now displayed transparently in the link settings, so you can see exactly where conversion tracking points.

Improvements​

  • Refreshed dashboard icons — Icons throughout the dashboard have been updated, including the sidebar, header, footer, link list, link editor, click stream, statistics, main page template, team management, profile, payments, integrations, and domain settings.
  • Redesigned team management dialogs — The dialogs for inviting, editing, and removing team members have been updated with a cleaner, more modern UI.
  • Updated QR code download experience — QR code download buttons and background color have been refreshed for a cleaner look, and long filenames are now shortened to prevent download errors.
  • Domain settings UI refresh — The domain settings page has been updated with an improved form layout and interface.
  • Tooltips for permissions and 2FA icons — Hovering over link permission icons and two-factor authentication indicators now shows helpful tooltips.
  • Tooltips for conversions — Conversion tracking metrics now include tooltips explaining what each value means.
  • Improved secure link interface — The UI for managing encrypted/secure links has been polished for clarity. Learn more
  • ClickStream export limit increased — Paid plan users can now export up to 10,000 click stream rows (up from the previous 1,000 limit). Free plan users retain the 1,000-row limit. Learn more
  • DNS records for subdomains — DNS records are now stored under the root domain and properly support subdomains, improving domain configuration reliability.
  • Link automation limit auto-refresh — The link automation usage counter now refreshes automatically when your subscription renews, without requiring a manual page reload.
  • Hobby plan in geo-targeting settings — Geo-targeting and settings pages now correctly reflect Hobby plan availability and limits.

Fixes​

  • Fixed SAML login — Resolved an issue that could prevent SAML single sign-on from completing successfully.
  • Fixed team member deletion — Removing a member from a team now works correctly in all cases.
  • Fixed settings sidebar navigation — The active state highlight in the settings sidebar now correctly tracks the current page.
  • Fixed bulk editing with case-insensitive domains — Bulk editing links on domains with mixed-case paths no longer fails silently.
  • Fixed bulk edit format handling — Corrected a formatting issue that could cause bulk edit operations to apply changes incorrectly.
  • Fixed domain creation limit enforcement — Fixed an issue that could allow exceeding the domain creation limit under certain conditions.
  • Fixed email change validation — The email change request now includes additional account status checks before proceeding.
  • Fixed invite check endpoint — The team invitation verification endpoint now works correctly for users who have not yet been granted permissions.
