August product updates

Domain verification by DNS record, hosted QR codes, Slack commands for posts and QR codes, domain expiry reminders, and a much richer Markdown renderer for Posts — plus payment, AI QR and mobile polish, and a long list of fixes.

Features

  • Domain verification by DNS TXT record — prove your organization controls an email domain by publishing a single TXT record, managed from your SSO settings. One record verifies every domain you claim, and a domain already verified for link use needs no second record. Adding and verifying domains requires an Enterprise plan; listing and removing them does not.
  • Hosted QR codes — publish a QR code to a permanent, revocable URL, and browse, filter and page through every code you have hosted.
  • Slack commands for posts and QR codes — /post turns a Markdown title and body into a content page and hands back a short link, and /qr generates a QR code for a link using your domain's logo and settings.
  • Domain expiry reminders — purchased domains now show their expiration date and auto-renewal state in the domains list and on the domain page, and email reminders go out before and after expiry with a direct renewal link.
  • Far richer Posts — post bodies now render GitHub-flavored Markdown (tables, strikethrough, task lists), GitHub alerts, syntax-highlighted code, LaTeX math, Mermaid diagrams, chess boards, footnotes, bare-URL autolinks and heading anchors. The editor toolbar gained split-paragraph and table buttons and a preview that covers all of it.
  • Abuse reports by email — reports sent to [email protected] are now picked up automatically, given a ticket id, and answered with threaded replies and autoreplies.

Improvements

  • Saved payment methods now show card expiry dates, and the organization payment page is reorganized around the saved-methods list with clearer Stripe tabs.
  • The S3 export tab is now visible, read-only, to every member of an organization.
  • Global search highlights the matching text in each result row and indexes more of the dashboard.
  • Every page now sets its own browser tab title, so tabs, history and bookmarks are readable.
  • AI QR codes moved to a new generation engine that keeps codes scannable while styling them, with refreshed example prompts and repair that does a quarter less damage to the artwork.
  • Expiration and deletion dates set on a link can now be cleared, not just changed.
  • Advertising click identifiers up to 512 characters are preserved, and OpenAI Ads clicks are attributed as an advertising source.
  • Polished the domain purchase search and reworked its stepper for narrow screens.
  • Standardized dialogs across the dashboard.
  • Error banners now show the reason the API returned instead of coming up blank.
  • Folder rename accepts the same 50 characters as folder creation.
  • Raised link-suggestion rate limits to 20 requests per second.
  • On mobile, your theme, current domain and language now survive a restart, and toolbar control heights line up.
  • Data belonging to deleted organizations and profiles is now queued for full cleanup.
  • The privacy policy now discloses AI QR image generation and our disaster-recovery hosting.

Fixes

  • UTM tags no longer corrupt destinations that cannot carry a query string, and non-HTTP destinations are left intact.
  • www. is kept when it is the domain's own registrable label.
  • Turning off A/B split URLs now clears the old split destinations instead of leaving them behind.
  • Visitors who solved the anti-bot challenge are no longer throttled afterwards.
  • Custom-domain certificates are served from cache during a temporary lookup failure instead of erroring.
  • A Stripe subscription that becomes active after an incomplete first payment now grants the plan, and checkout no longer reports success while that first payment is still pending.
  • Uzbekistan VAT/TIN numbers are no longer rejected as invalid EU VAT in billing settings.
  • Signing in with Google or Apple no longer creates a duplicate account for a dot- or plus-alias of an address you already use, and now points you at the existing account instead.
  • Organization logos keep their aspect ratio when uploaded.
  • Bulk Edit V2 deletes stay within the API rate limit, and the error banner's Retry button works.
  • Bulk link delete now rejects an empty selection with a clear error instead of returning a server error.
  • Domain audit log pagination works past the first page.
  • The AI assistant no longer rejects valid captcha tokens.
  • Link requests now fail visibly when a write does not land, instead of reporting success.
  • Fixed broken markup in the Korean translations and stale strings across the dashboard.
  • Fixed a mobile app boot failure.
  • Plan lists no longer drop everything past the first ten prices, so every available plan shows up again.
