# How to edit destination (original) URL

Destination URL is the original long link which you shorten and to which customers are redirected after clicking on the short URL.

Editing a destination link does not affect the short slug.

Note

You can change the original URL an **unlimited number of times for free**.

## To edit a destination URL[​](#to-edit-a-destination-url "Direct link to To edit a destination URL")

1. Sign in to your [Short.io account](https://short.io/).

2. Navigate to the **Branded links**.

3. Click on  next to the link for which you want to edit the original URL:

4. In the **Basic link editing** screen change the **Original URL**:

5. Click on **Save**.

The new destination link is set.
